HEADS.  ASH WILL STAY BEHIND

CHARLOTTE, ASH and EMMA have 2 tickets to the Resettlement Zone. 

Charlotte convinced her colleague DARREN to buy her a ticket by lying she’d go with him to the Zone. Ash, not trusting the Zone and threatened by Darren’s presence, took assertive action and sold their first two tickets. They attacked Darren for HIS TICKET, but Ash was injured in the process.

At a HOSPITAL, their DOCTOR tells them he has TICKETS to the Zone.

They have flipped over whether to rob the doctor, or allow Ash to do the noble thing and stay behind. 

Heads. Ash will stay behind.

Ash tearfully says goodbye to Charlie and Emma. The Doctor returns and overhears this.

The Doctor interrupts - don’t go yet. Give him a moment. He takes his phone outside, and returns.

He gives them the PAINKILLERS, and then he transfers them his TICKET. 

As the doctor walks away, flashback to him stepping outside, and calling his HUSBAND. He explains that he’s going to stay at the HOSPITAL. He wants his husband to go to the Zone without him. And to know that they will be giving a little girl her parents. They tearfully say goodbye.

Suddenly, behind him, he hears a commotion. He runs back to find DARREN threatening the Dhumals with a knife - give him back his ticket, or he’s gonna do something he’ll regret!

The Doctor startles Darren, and pushes the panic button. Darren attacks him. Charlie helps the Doctor, but the Doctor gets stabbed in the process.

SECURITY GUARDS grab Darren and wrestle him away.

Outside the hospital, Darren is handcuffed to a railing beside the SOLDIERS guarding the doors. He watches as the Dhumals are escorted to their car. Darren shouts after Charlie, pleading with her, but she ignores him.

The Dhumals drive to the chaotic PICK UP POINT, just in time to be taken to the SWANSEA RESETTLEMENT ZONE.

On the way, Ash insists that they give up their COINS. They were about to rob the man that saved them! They can’t live like this anymore.

7am Charlotte steals more painkillers from a MEDICAL AREA.

She returns to their RELATIVELY NICE FLAT, where she is caring for Ash.

They’re tense. The future is uncertain. They’re both in physical pain from their fights. But at least they’ve survived.
